SSP stands for Supply-Side Platform, which is a technology platform used in the digital advertising ecosystem. Its primary function is to connect publishers (website owners or app developers) with demand-side platforms (DSPs) and advertisers to facilitate the buying and selling of ad inventory.

My role in SSP development would typically involve the following responsibilities:

  1.  Design and Development: I would be responsible for designing and developing the backend systems and microservices that power the SSP. This includes creating scalable, modular, and robust code using technologies such as Java, Spring Framework, and other relevant tools.

  2. Integration with Partners: My role would involve integrating the SSP with various partners, such as ad servers and DSPs. This would require implementing the necessary APIs and protocols to enable seamless communication and data exchange between the SSP and these external systems.

  3. Performance Optimization: I focused on enhancing the performance of the SSP, optimizing response times, and ensuring high availability even under high traffic loads. This may involve analyzing bottlenecks, fine-tuning database queries, and implementing caching mechanisms.

  4. Scalability and Cost-Effectiveness: As part of SSP development, I worked on ensuring scalability and cost-effectiveness of the platform. This could include implementing technologies like Redis to support multi-region edges, reducing infrastructure costs, and optimizing resource utilization.

  5. Monitoring and Analytics: I was responsible for setting up data pipelines and integrating monitoring tools like AWS Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Grafana to monitor the performance of the SSP, track metrics, and generate insights for further optimization.

Overall, My role in SSP development entails a combination of software engineering, integration, performance optimization, scalability, and monitoring to deliver a high-performance and efficient platform that connects publishers with advertisers in the digital advertising ecosystem.
